Sunday Service Times

Rite I @ 8:30 AM

Rite III @ 9:45 AM

Rite II @ 11:00 AM

Rite I and II services are streamed live on Facebook or YouTube.

We have three different service options:

  • Rite I is a traditional language service using the eucharistic prayer from the 1928 prayer book and with organ music from the hymnal.
  • Rite II is a more contemporary liturgical service from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer; the music is blended with contemporay and traditional hymns. Also, this is the service time with opportunities for children and youth ministries.
  • Rite III is a small-group service with contemporary songs, prayers, the Eucharist, and time for discussion after the short sermon.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be an Episcopalian to attend this church?

No! Worship services at St. Andrew’s are open to

all: atheists, agnostics skeptics, seekers, liberals and conservatives. Many of our members come

from other faith traditions or none at all.

St. Andrew’s is a community united in its journey

to know God and to love and serve others.

Where Can I Find...?

  • Bathrooms (church offce & downstairs)
  • Nursery (near the front door)
  • Fellowship Hall (coffee & meals – downstairs under the sanctuary)
  • Classrooms (building next to the main church)

Standing, Sitting, Kneeling... What do I do?

Feel free to use whichever posture you feel most comfortable with during every part of the service; there is no wrong way to participate. Generally, we sit while we are listening, we stand while we are singing, and we kneel while we are praying.

How do I participate in the service?

You can find the entire service in your bulletin, including all the prayers and scripture readings. The page numbers indicate where the music can be found in the separate hymnal book.

What is going on when the congregation“Passes the Peace” to one another?

Just before communion starts, it is customary to greet those around you by saying “Peace be with you,” or otherwise sharing our joy and harmony with fellow worshipers.

Is there child care during the service?

Your children are welcome to stay with you throughout the whole service; we are happy they are sharing their Sunday with us. If they just need some space to settle down, you can take them to the foyer at the back of the church. The youngest ones can be  taken to the nursery to be cared for by our professional staff. Elementary age kids can go to the Children’s Church after the opening song. Ask the usher for details.

Am I welcome to take the Bread and Wine for Communion?

All baptized persons are welcome to come forward to receive the Bread and Wine. Those who are not baptized are asked to come up with everyone else to receive a blessing. Don’t worry about protocol; just do it!

Can children take Communion?

Yes! Additionally, parents may bring their children to Communion and indicate to the priest to the child a blessing instead of the actual Communion.
